In my dream world, every weekend (make that every day!) would be free for setting off into the sunset for camping adventures. In the real world, it’s just not possible. Other stuff crops up – work stuff, house stuff, the hectic bouncey-castle-filled social calendar of three year olds…

Not to worry, I’m going to share the many ways campervans make themselves useful, even if (like us) you’re not available for full-time campervan tripping! First up, they’re the perfect companion for any mountain bike fanatic…and their excited hangers on.

The Maiden Voyage

It was the Summer Solstice, it was Father’s Day weekend and the sun was actually shining!

After a few weeks of engine TLC, it was time to give it a bash.

We set off forĀ Honey Cottage Caravan ParkĀ in the Etterick Valley in the Scottish Borders. We only had a night and there’s loads of the Borders we still haven’t explored so we kept it local – only 40 mins drive.

Handyman Stu spent the morning modifying a camp bed to become Milo’s new campervan bed. (It goes over the front seats, leaving more room at the back for the grownups – good plan, look into it!)
